The Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation has initiated a national project under the slogan “Serbia, a Land of Science and Innovation“. Science and Innovation Days will be organized in cities across Serbia during this project. This national project aims to raise public awareness about the importance of advancing and investing in science, technological development, and innovation. This event in Novi Sad was organized as one in a series.

The Innovation Fund of the Republic of Serbia is the key state institution supporting innovative activities and managing funding for stimulating innovation. Active since 2011, the Innovation Fund has been a pioneer in the institutional implementation of this imperative – primarily by increasing the capacity of start-ups and available resources for their growth. The Fund is thus part of a broader state innovation strategy. The Fund’s mission is to support the development of innovation through appropriate financial, technical and advisory support instruments to empower innovative enterprises and strengthen the link between research and development on the one hand and the business sector on the other, respecting the highest ethical, financial and business standards and practices.

The Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia is a public organization that supports scientific and research activities. It was established in March 2019, with the aim of providing funds and supporting the conditions for the continuous development of scientific and research activities in the Republic of Serbia necessary for the advancement of a knowledge-based society. The Fund’s activities are represented through research, as well as through technological and developmental programs. Their goal is to achieve the strategic objectives of scientific and technological development of the Republic of Serbia.

The Center for the Promotion of Science (CPN) is a public institution, established in 2010 by the Serbian Ministry of Science and charged with promoting science and technology. In accordance with its mandate, the Center implements programmes and activities by working with research and educational institutions in Serbia and around the world, and it also works closely with the ministries in the Serbian Government, the media and the private sector. CPN’s mission is to bridge the gap between science and society by bringing together all relevant actors and the general public in the research and innovation process. The ultimate goal is to integrate society into research processes in order to gain a better understanding of citizens’ needs and to deal with societal challenges more adequately. The Center organizes a large number of exhibitions, lectures, panel discussions and other events covering various topics. The common feature for all these formats is that they are often interactive, so the visitors, if they wish, can take an active role.
