Contributing to Sustainable Agriculture at BIOFACH 2025  – World´s Leading Trade Fair for Organic Food

BIOFACH – Taking action for ecological change, closes its doors after four successful days. It brought together more than 35,000 visitors from 140 countries between the 11th and 14th of February 2025. Every second participant came from abroad. They visited around 2,300 exhibitors from 94 countries to find out about the wide range of products on offer in the organic world.

During the BIOFACH 2025, Vojvodina Organic Cluster (VOC) showcased several new developments and collaboration that have been made within the scope of the EINSTEIN Project. It was a great opportunity to demonstrate our work in sustainable agriculture, technological innovation and cross-border collaboration, all aimed at advancing organic farming practices in Vojvodina Province.

Pioneering Functional Electronics from Organic Food

One of the key highlights at this global event was VOC’s presentation of a promising collaboration with Professor Goran Stojanović and his team. Throughout the EINSTEIN project, together, we are exploring the use of organic food from Vojvodina to make components for the development of functional electronics.

These new materials have potential applications in intraoral sensing technologies, thus having the potential to redefine the integration of organic farming and electronic systems.

Contribution to the EINSTEIN Agro Platform

A major achievement that was showcased at BIOFACH 2025 was VOC’s contribution to the EINSTEIN Agro platform. This platform is designed to discover insights into sustainable crop production, with a focus on nutrient-rich, high-quality crops. Through our participation, VOC is helping to promote smarter farming practices, making a meaningful contribution to the growing field of agro-technological innovations.

BIOFACH 2025 – The International Forum for Collaboration and Knowledge Exchange

BIOFACH 2025  was not only a trade fair but also a chance to meet with the stakeholders in the organic sector from all over the world. VOC’s contributions were well received because we not only presented our progress but also shared the experience of how the EINSTEIN project is helping to drive innovation across Europe. The participation of VOC  illustrated the role of cross-border cooperation in the generation of new ways of sustainable agriculture.

Towards a Sustainable Agricultural Future

As the fair concluded, VOC remains committed to fostering innovative solutions for the organic sector. The advancements shared at BIOFACH 2025 are just the beginning. By continuing to work with the EINSTEIN project and its partners, Vojvodina Organic Cluster aims to scale up sustainable farming practices that will have a lasting impact on the environment and food systems.

We are committed to advancing the limits of what can be achieved, from functional electronics to nutrient-dense crops, with the overarching goal of a healthier and more sustainable future for organic agriculture.
