The University of Novi Sad convened a meeting with ICT stakeholders and industry representatives on August 28, 2025, in collaboration with the Vojvodina ICT cluster, which organised the event and is one of the partners in the EINSTEIN project.
We extend sincere thanks to the kind hosts, the software company EXLRT, a member of VOICT. The meeting welcomed participation from 27 people – representatives from software and hardware companies, educational institutions, and different organisations, primarily members of VOICT.
This event was also marked by three lectures in which we had the opportunity to actively participate. In a detailed presentation, Ivana Knežević from UNS outlined the EINSTEIN project, its objectives, and the expected results and impacts.
Following the presentation, there was time for questions and discussion, which ultimately led to the following conclusion: at the next meeting, they would like to learn more about the EINSTEIN project’s research and development (R&D) and technological solutions; they would also like to learn more about the researchers and laboratory examples, so that the industry can be more involved in the coming period with its capacities.
Then followed two more lectures, “Legal challenges for IT companies – GDPR, ISO standards and the EU AI Act in practice” presented by Tijana Žunić Marić & Anja Berić from ZunicLaw, as well as the “EIT Digital master program in Novi Sad: a new space for synergy between IT companies and academia“, presented by Dušan Gajić from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad.
