EINSTEIN STARS is a competitive program designed for PhD students and young researchers developing innovative solutions with strong industrial potential. The goal of the program is to foster the translation of scientific research into sustainable business and technological initiatives, and to connect researchers with industry, investors, and the broader innovation ecosystem.
From October to December 2025, selected candidates will have the opportunity to:
- participate in expert-led workshops focused on presentation skills and validating the market potential of their research,
- receive individual consultations with experts in innovation and technology transfer,
- establish contacts with investors, industry partners, and mentors,
- present their research to a professional jury composed of industry representatives, investors, and academia.
The final event will take place in December 2025 at the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad, Serbia, where finalists will showcase their innovations and highlight their market potential.
Awards for the best candidates
The three top-ranked researchers will receive prestigious awards:
- Study visit to a partner university abroad (travel, accommodation, and research participation covered).
- Publication costs for a scientific paper in an international peer-reviewed journal.
- Conference participation at an international scientific conference of the candidate’s choice.
Eligibility and Application
Eligible candidates include PhD students at the University of Novi Sad and researchers who have defended their PhD in the last five years, whose research demonstrates innovative potential in fields such as: green technologies, biotechnology, nanotechnology, sustainable agriculture, medicine, and related interdisciplinary areas.
