Horizons of Innovation – EU Research Collaboration Forum took place on December 2, 2025, in the Science and Technology Park in Novi Sad (Serbia). In the Insights & Impact zone, the EINSTEIN SESSION – RETHINKING INNOVATION was organized in Presentation Hall 1, Ground Floor, in the presence of 31 attendees.

This session explored how Horizon Europe projects can move beyond research outputs to generate practical, real-world innovations. In a full hall, booked weeks in advance, Lazar Milić and Ivana Knežević from Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, presented the EINSTEIN project – food waste and nutri food-based electronics.

Participants discussed strategies to bridge the gap between scientific excellence and market applications, focusing on tools, partnerships, and methodologies that accelerate impact. Further, participants had the opportunity to engage in a Q&A.
After the official opening of Horizons of Innovation – EU Research Collaboration in the amphitheatre, the Forum took place in parallel at several locations, zones, halls and tracks. Visitors and participants actively engaged in the Research & Action Zone, Collaboration Zone, Keynote lectures, Panel Discussions, FINNO-PITCH, Poster session and b2b matchmaking meetings.
Additionally, EINSTEIN was showcased during the poster session, which remained accessible throughout the day to the visitors.
Together, researchers, innovators, and changemakers from across Europe and the Western Balkans gathered for a full day of inspiring keynotes, expert panels, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities.
This year’s Forum gathered 200 people as leading voices to share insights on innovation, collaboration, and turning research into real-world impact.
